IASB School Law Conference
Audience
School board members, superintendents, school attorneys, and other administrators
Description
IASB's School Law Conference addresses issues that are current and important to Iowa's educators. Content for the 2008 conference will be determined by the Iowa Legislature. Numerous bills are still alive at the statehouse that could have significant impact on education in Iowa, including changes to operations for school construction issues, collective bargaining, and open meetings/public records.

Intended Outcomes
Participants will be aware of current legal issues affecting education. Participants will have resources (tools, processes) to begin addressing the laws.
